Game Preview: Midwest City
The Pioneers of Stillwater are packing up the wagons and head down south for a matchup against the Bombers of Midwest City
on Friday night. The Pioneers are looking for a strong bounce-back effort after suffering a tough 47-34 defeat last week at home.
For Stillwater Brandon Prather stepped up in a big way and didn't take much time to make his mark taking the opening kickoff for
89 yards and giving the Pioneers an early lead. Quarterback Braxton Noble excelled and was able to keep the offense moving the
ball and the scoring high for the Pioneers.
In order for Stillwater to come out with a positive result the defense will look to improve and this will be crucial against Midwest
City who is coming off a victory last week and utilized the run game to win 3-0 over Edmond Santa-Fe
Stillwater will need to continue improving each and every week and look to get the win on the road where they were extremely
successful going 3-1 last season. Similar to last week's game against McAlester the Pioneers will be playing against a team that
they defeated last year who will be looking for revenge against the Pioneers. In last years game the Pioneers beat the Bombers
21-18 thanks to a great performance from Davyn Thompson and two big touchdown runs from Braxton Noble to hold off the
bombers. The Pioneers are hoping for a similar performance this week and need every player to do their part and get ready to pull
off the victory to beat the Bombers and bring back the confidence necessary to get ready for the rest of the season.
