SHS Returns Home To Face Mustang
Stillwater football will be back on home turf this Friday to face the Mustang broncos. The Pioneers are looking to come back after last week’s tough loss to Midwest City.

The Broncos will be entering this game with a 1-1 record winning over Putnam City North but losing to Yukon in their first game. The Pioneers are looking to change their 0-2 record and rack up that first win of the season at home.

In last year’s matchup against Mustang Brandon Prather had his breakout performance with 9 catches for 90 yards. Despite suffering a 36-14 loss to the Broncos, Braxton Noble also performed well completing 22 passes for 176 yards as a sophomore.

Junior quarterback Braxton Noble will be back on the field for the Pioneers with hopes of leading them to a win.

“They are a talented team that is going to come at us with everything. We’re ready for revenge from last year,” Noble said.

Head coach Tucker Barnard also has high hopes for Friday’s game and knows that the team needs to work hard for the win.

“We’re looking forward to tonight’s game. We have worked hard this week to prepare for this game. We are hoping to get this win tonight,” Barnard said.
