Pioneers Hosting Enid For Senior Night
This Friday night, the Stillwater Pioneers head home to the friendly confines of Pioneer Stadium looking to put last week's
heartbreaking road loss behind them. They'll take on the Enid Plainsmen in what will be the Pioneers final home game of the
The Pioneers (1-7) fell 44-41 to the Sand Springs Sandites on the road last week in what was arguably their best showing of the
season. The game came down to the wire after both teams traded blows throughout, with neither team being able to make that
final push to pull away from the competition. In the end, the Sandites were able to make just a few more than Stillwater, as they
hit the eventual game winning field goal in the games closing few minutes.
Enid (3-5) has struggled on the road this season, posting a 1-4 record away from Selby Stadium. The Plainsmen are looking to
bounce back from 35-20 road loss to Owasso. They're looking to keep pace with Bartlesville and Sand Springs, who are both a
game up on the Plainsmen at 4-4, and keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Pioneers have some momentum after playing extremely well last week in a close loss, while Enid is looking to avoid a repeat
of last week's performance. New quarterback John Littell seems to be getting better each week and he, along with the rest of the
seniors, will look to go out with a bang in the final home game of their Stillwater careers.
