(STILLWATER, Okla.) - Stillwater Pioneer Football begins its 2014 season Sept. 5 in a new division with new pre and post-game events planned for all seven home games. Pre-game events begin at 5:30 p.m. with a tailgate party featuring local food
trucks, face painting, a pep rally and an opportunity for fans to line the field and cheer as the Pioneers run onto the field. All home games begin at 7 p.m.

Kevin Fowler, president of the SHS Touchdown Club, said a team of local community leaders and parents has been working all summer to create a new community tradition each Friday night during the Pioneer Football season. "Pioneer Stadium is the place to be for kids and adults each Friday night during SHS Football's home games," Fowler said. "Friday Night Lights is a new community social events that includes FoodBall, a community tailgating party featuring several food trucks, music from Stillwater Radio, face painting and a pre-game pep rally with SHS Pom, Cheer and Pep Band. A few minutes before the game, fans can come to the southwest side of the field to make a spirit tunnel for the players to run through." At the end of the game, all fans are invited onto the field to get player autographs and take pictures.

"We're looking forward to the first game because the student section is going to be fun to watch this year," Fowler said. "They plan to be the loudest and most involved students in our conference. Plus, we have a lot of new sponsors this year, and we plan to give away a few prizes at the end of each game." Tickets can be purchased at Pioneer Stadium on the day of the game.
